About me

I was born in St. Gallen (Switzerland) on January 11th, 1973. After having finished my college studies at the Gymnasium Friedberg (Gossau SG), I started studying chemistry at the ETH (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) in Zürich in 1993, and I finished my undergraduate studies with a diploma work in the laboratories of Prof. Dr. François Diederich in 1998 on tetraethynylethenes with an optically switchable unit.
Afterwards I was carrying out a PhD thesis in organic chemistry at the ETH (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) in Zürich in the research group of Prof. Dr. François Diederich on poly(triacetylene) oligomers and polymers. I was also working as a practical course supervisor and Windows-NT/2000 domain administrator.

Since August 2002 I am working at Metrohm AG in Herisau (Switzerland) as titration and potentiometry research and development manager.
